DMAC is a line of premium, fun-loving lifestyle pieces in fine wool, and wool blends.
A life of travel and competition, along with a passion for wool, cycling, skiing and the outdoors inspired the DMAC line.
“I love wool. I love its tradition, style and versatility. I’m out there everyday, skiing, riding, running, travelling, or going out to dinner with friends, and I wanted to create a range of versatile pieces that indulge this lifestyle. Items that have a bespoke feel to them with timeless, classic style, and details that accommodate modern life. Pieces you live in on the slopes, street, or an exit-row, window seat at 35,000ft on your way to a destination where you don’t speak the language. I've had four wool tops for over 20 years that I still wear. These timeless designs inspired me to start DMAC, and I hope that what I am offering becomes that same time-worn, trusty piece you grab off the coat rack 10 years after.” – DMAC Founder, Dave McLaughlin
Creating this line we re-imagined the pieces we have been living in for 20 years by offering a range of simple, versatile styles in boiled wool blends and fine knits. Styles that are at home and comfortable in any environment, be it your favorite café and hike in the mountains, or hanging out on the beach. Naturally we gravitated towards wool because of its durability, versatility and function.
Wool Travels Well – Anyone who travels has faced the dilemma of choosing between bringing a functional piece vs. a stylish piece, because often you don't have room for both. This range addresses that with styles in which you can ski or hike all day then comfortably wear to dinner. And because it's wool, it won't get stinky.
Because the DMAC collection is entirely wool and wool blend, it is technical and versatile by nature. The fabrics wash and travel well, and will last for years (as long as you follow the instructions and keep them away from mustard, Velcro®, fire and explosions, knives, grease, wax, etc...).
DMAC designs are originals, each one penned in San Francisco by noted fashion designer Skye Schuchman.
We added thoughtful details like internal pockets for your important personal items, zipper garages (on some styles) to keep your beard safe, and zipper flaps to hold the chill at bay. Then we finished them off with double needle cover stitching and clean finish seams throughout. The trims and zippers are the best available. These bespoke designs are hand crafted in premium wool and wool blends by the best specialty factories.
